Much more than just an overnight stay ...
The Middle Rhine Valley has epitomised the romantic landscape since the beginning of the 19th century. The natural surroundings and mild climate attracted wealthy merchants from the Lower Rhine, who found refuge here from the hectic city life. Their love of the region was reflected in the magnificent country houses they built here. They spent their “summer holidays” there, often only a few weeks a year.
Beautiful summer villas were also built in Niederbreisig between the Coblenzer Chaussee and the Rhine from 1850 onwards, of which only a few still exist today. One of the last contemporary witnesses is the “Villa zur Erholung”. It was built in 1880 for the Mönchengladbach textile manufacturer Wilhelm Montz and his second wife Franziska, née Soltau.
Today, the centrally located hotel is open to overnight guests looking for something special. There is a choice of four different rooms and a junior suite in the garden wing.
Spacious rooms, some with balconies, with selected antiques and interiors by renowned architects and designers
and designers alongside many a quirky accessory.
